OUR HISTORY

MORE THAN 15 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

On September 17, 2006, Light of Hope Immigration Law Center was founded on a dream, a goal, and a vision. The visionary, entrepreneur, and fearless leader who analyzed the drastic need in North Texas was needed. As a child, she envisioned being able to assist a vast majority of people while still upholding her roots, but in a well professional matter and while still spreading the word of God. Since its founding, Light of Hope ILC, has faced many obstacles but because of a brave and faithful soul, it has continued serving the community, and has continued to spread as a top tier Legal Service provider in the North Texas area.

This visionary and leader, a woman of color and immigrant, has built this once small nonprofit organization to what it is now, a has continued to serve her fellow man and woman, all while continuing to spread the His Word.

At Light of Hope ILC, individuals are able to seek low-cost or free legal services, depending on the circumstances and depending on hardship/need. Because LOHILC has continued to serve in this matter, in 2012, the Education Department was created in order to assist those individuals needing that extra help in trying to become U.S. Citizens. In 2020, Light of Hope helped 2,789 individuals and families with thier immigration challenges. Along the way, we also helped dozens of immigrants with their pursuit of citizenship by providing classes that tought English and Civics.

Light of Hope ILC also provides internship opportunities to High School and College Level students and Fellowship opportunities to those seeking a higher level in the Legal Field. Light of Hope ILC is recognized and accredited by the U.S. Department of Justice, and continued being a trusted Legal Service Provider in Texas.
